OUT ON LOAN

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that a number of youth and reserve team players will be sent out on loan deals to various clubs next season. Manchester United reserve team has just won the Premier Reserve League North title by a mammoth 13 points, thus confirming that this group of youngsters is the most special yet. Due to the presence of a number of high profile players at Manchester United, Sir Alex Ferguson reckons that it will be difficult for them to gain experience of playing first-team football at Manchester United. Therefore, they are likely to be sent out on loan deals in England and in various countries across Europe.

The current reserve team of Manchester United contains a number of players from the FA Youth Cup-winning side of last year. It contains the likes of Michael Keane, Larnell Cole, and Zeki Fryers. Even though United’s academy has been producing a number of first-team players on a regular basis, none have been able to match the quality of Paul Scholes or David Beckham.

“There will be a few going out on loan. We’ll always do that. We have eight or nine out at the moment, including Robbie Brady, Scott Wootton, Joshua King and John Cofie. I went to see Oliver Norwood at Coventry recently and he’s been a star for them. Some of them will definitely go out again next season. It’s a good group of players,” Ferguson told Inside United. Manchester United look set to concede their Premier league title to archrivals Manchester City after losing the vital Manchester derby 1-0 on Monday night.

LESCOTT HAPPY TEVEZ IS BACK

Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott has said that the arrival of Carlos Tevez back to the Manchester city squad will not hurt their chances of winning a title this season. Carlos Tevez recently returned to the Manchester city first team after apologising to the club and to the manager. Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini admitted that he would be willing to consider Tevez as an option in the future, as he has made an apology. Carlos Tevez has not been part of the Manchester City squad since September after refusing to come on in the match against Bayern Munich. This led to serious damage in the relationship with him and the club, with especially the manager Roberto Mancini extremely critical of the player.

After spending three months in the wilderness, Carlos Tevez has realised that he will not be able to play hardball with Manchester City. After suffering a loss of earnings of up to £ 10 million, Carlos Tevez has finally issued an apology by stating that he just wants to continue playing football without any of the media attention. In this situation, there has also been reports that the arrival of Carlos Tevez back to the Manchester City squad will be damaging to the morale of the team.

“No one here sees Carlos as a disruption. If we can all get together and push in the same direction I am sure it’s a positive for the club. With us, Carlos has never been an issue, and we are confident that if he does get his chance, he will score a lot of goals,” said Lescott when asked about the influence Carlos Tevez’ return will have on the first team. City are currently in the first position in the table, while they have also advanced to the Europa league last 16 round.

SILVA NETS PAY RISE

David Silva has undoubtedly been one of the best performers for Manchester City this season and he is set to be rewarded with a pay raise. It has been recently revealed that David Silva will be one of the squad members set to receive the new contract that will see his pay increase from £ 150,000 per week to £ 200,000 per week.

It would also put him alongside the likes of Sergio Aguero and Yaya Touré, while the other higher earner Carlos Tevez looks set to leave the club. David Silva has shown a number of other players at Manchester City. In fact, he has been largely responsible for the impressive start Manchester City have made to the season.

He is currently out with a small niggling injury, but is expected to return to first-team action soon. Roberto Mancini will be hoping for even better things from the Spaniard, who cost just £ 23 million from Valencia in 2010. He is now proving to be an incredible value for money, as he has assisted a number of Premier League goals for Manchester city. So far, he has provided 10 assists, a figure that is comparable only by his fellow Spaniard Mata at Chelsea.

“City believed in me and I’m very well here. Real Madrid and Barcelona are definitely two great clubs but I hope to stay in Manchester for many years,” David Silva said when asked about his choice of Manchester city over Real Madrid and Barcelona. Both these Spanish clubs were interested in the former Valencia winger, but it was ultimately the English club who landed him. Despite being only 26 years old, is already proving to be one of the best players for Manchester City in the years to come. The current contract will be extended by two years.

TOURE CRITICIZES GUARDIOLA

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has become the latest to criticise Barcelona’s manager Pep Guardiola. Guardiola has been recently criticised by his former player Zlatan Ibrahimovic, now at AC Milan, for being partial towards some of these players. It has been revealed that Guardiola likes to play with Lionel Messi, Iniesta, and Xavi. They are the players whom Guardiola has either brought up from the academy or played alongside as in the case of Xavi. Now, Yaya Toure has criticised Guardiola by saying that the Barcelona manager has a cold attitude towards players he does not like. It comes as a dampening statement just as Barcelona are struggling in the league.

Now, the famous rift has different between Lionel Messi and new signing David Villa. It has been reported in various quarters that the attitude of Guardiola towards Lionel Messi and David Villa is responsible for the rift between the two players. The statements by Yaya Toure seem to add fuel to the fire. Yaya Toure has backed up his statements by saying that Roberto Mancini is a much better manager because he tries to criticise his players without hurting them. Speaking to a French paper, Yaya Toure said, “Mancini is closer to his players. He talks more than Guardiola. He calls you into his office and holds a quite talk with you, listening more to what you’ve got to say. On the other hand, Guardiola waits for moments of pressure to get closer to you. It is much of a wrong attitude, I feel.”

Yaya Toure also claimed that he did not have the wish to go away from Barcelona, but in the end had to be pushed out. However, he said that he has no regrets about joining Manchester City, who are expected to become the major force in world football.
